Seedz Fidelidade e Marketing S.A. ("SEEDZ") created this Privacy Policy to make public and transparent how it handles your personal data when you access and use all of SEEDZ’s applications, products and/or services, the website www.seedz.ag and/or SEEDZ’s landing pages.
SEEDZ pays close attention to the rules of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018) (“LGPD”) and is committed to respecting human rights, in particular your privacy. This Privacy Policy therefore describes how SEEDZ handles personal data, reaffirming its commitment to respect, compliance, good faith and transparency toward its Users as a premise of its business, providing here the information necessary for your understanding.
We hope you can stay informed and make good use of SEEDZ’s products and services as a technology solutions company for everyone who is part of agribusiness.
Notice: this Privacy Policy is part of the contract you enter into with SEEDZ when you access the Platform, which also includes the Terms of Use and the Seedz Campaign Regulations. By accepting this Privacy Policy, the User will be legally bound by all the terms and conditions presented here, and acceptance of this Privacy Policy is essential to continue the User’s relationship with SEEDZ. If you do not agree with the provisions of these documents, do not use the Platform, the Seedz Program, or any other SEEDZ product/service.
1. Important definitions
To make the Policy easier to read, SEEDZ presents a few useful definitions for your interpretation:
"Seedz Partner Channels" are SEEDZ websites and applications connected to and operated on Seedz platforms for SEEDZ Partners.
“Personal data controller” is Seedz, as the legal entity responsible for decisions concerning the processing of its personal data.
“Personal data” is any data relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, or a set of distinct pieces of information that may lead to the identification of a given individual. Examples of personal data include: name, surname, national ID (CPF), e-mail address, location data, banking and tax data, IP address, cookies, among others.
“Sensitive personal data” is any personal data concerning racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, union or religious, philosophical or political organization membership, data concerning health or sexual life, genetic or biometric data. Examples of sensitive personal data include your occupational health information.
“SEEDZ” or “we” refers to Seedz Fidelidade e Marketing S.A., registered under Brazilian company ID (CNPJ) 27.152.808/0001-40, headquartered at Rua Gonçalves Dias, nº 874, sala 401, Savassi, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, CEP 30.140-091.
"Seedz Coin", "Coins" or "Seedz" are the points that can be accumulated and redeemed in the Seedz Program, in Seedz Partner Programs and Channels.
"Seedz Partner" means independent companies that have entered into a business partnership with Seedz and use the Platform to create and operate campaigns, actions and incentive and loyalty programs, promotions and offers for their customers, employees, suppliers and other business partners.
“Participant” is the person or company registered in the Seedz Program or on the Platform.
“Product/Service/Platform” means the set of SEEDZ applications, namely SEEDZ Force, SEEDZ Rewards, SEEDZ Farm, SEEDZ Connecta, PERFARM by SEEDZ, SEEDZ Finance, SEEDZ Atlas and Seedz Partner Channels and the website “www.seedz.ag”.
“Seedz Campaign Regulations” means regulations published by Seedz for campaigns, promotions and actions carried out by Seedz.
“Seedz Partner Regulations” means regulations created and published by SEEDZ Partners to regulate and describe the rules, obligations and conditions of their own campaigns, business actions and programs, exclusively defined by the Seedz Partner, based on the premises of their own programs and published on the SEEDZ Platform and on the Seedz Partner’s landing page.
“Data Subject” is you, the natural person – the individual –, as a SEEDZ User, to whom the personal data being processed relates.
"Processing or Data Processing" is Seedz’s use of personal data, including: collection, recording, storage, organization, classification, consultation, processing, evaluation, disclosure, sharing, transmission, and reproduction.
“You” is the person to whom the personal data relates.
2. Why does SEEDZ process your personal data?
This policy applies to all Users of all products and services in the SEEDZ catalog, through SEEDZ’s sites, apps, Platform or other resources.
SEEDZ processes personal data to carry out and enable your use and enjoyment of the Seedz Program, of Seedz Partner programs on the Platform, or of any other SEEDZ product or service. Accordingly, SEEDZ needs to collect personal data about you, such as your name, national ID (CPF), e-mail address, phone number, geographic location, banking and tax data, among others that you may voluntarily provide when registering for or using our services and/or products, as well as when acquiring Seedz Partner products and services.
The form and purpose of personal data processing will depend on your interaction with our Platform. For example, the personal data processing of a new Participant will differ from that of a Participant already integrated with SEEDZ and/or Seedz Partners.
In specific situations, you will need to consent to SEEDZ’s use of personal data, and SEEDZ will put in place all the necessary procedures for that to happen. However, there are other situations and/or circumstances that do not require the User’s consent.
Below we exemplify the type of data collected at each stage and the purpose of the collection:

3. Agricultural and Meteorological Data
SEEDZ will collect and use specific data related to weather conditions, agricultural commodity prices, industry news and digital field records to provide rural-work assistance features to the User.
4. Geospatial Data
SEEDZ may collect detailed geospatial data on land, preservation areas, soil types, climates, and other critical factors that influence agricultural decisions.
Such data is used by SEEDZ to help its customers ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
5. Production and Financial Information
SEEDZ may collect detailed data on the User’s farm regarding agricultural production, financial results, obligations and receivables, future bank balance and other data relevant to providing farm management advisory services.
Such information is used to provide, personalize and improve the platform’s services, including financial management, data management, risk management, human resources, invoice issuance and reading, credit granting, among others.
6. Research Information
SEEDZ may collect detailed information about your field practices, production, management techniques, soil treatment, irrigation, productivity per hectare, and other data provided by you while using SEEDZ’s services and products.
7. Data created while using our services
SEEDZ may collect and process location data to allow SEEDZ to offer better deals or services near you. Or, still, for the proper functioning of its applications that offer local services such as up-to-date weather information and targeted Agricultural Sector news.
SEEDZ will use the data and information collected to provide, personalize and improve the services provided, including delivering crucial information, comparisons and performance evaluations of the User.
SEEDZ also collects data about users’ interaction with its services, including dates and times of access, app features or pages viewed, app issues and other system activities, browser type and sites or services used when interacting with our services. In some cases, we may perform this collection through cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers.
SEEDZ also collects communication data, allowing Users to communicate with SEEDZ through mobile apps and SEEDZ websites, as well as to enable customer service, for security purposes, to support its own activity through the improvement of its products and services, and for internal analysis.
8. Rights of the personal data subject
All processing of personal data carried out by SEEDZ has a legitimate legal basis stemming from the relationship established between SEEDZ and you, as our User, such data being essential for you to enjoy the services, products and features of the Platform as a Participant in the Seedz Program.
Data processing is limited to the minimum necessary to achieve its purposes, covering data that is relevant, proportional and not excessive in relation to those purposes, always in accordance with the LGPD.
Under the LGPD, you will always have the following rights regarding your privacy and the protection of your personal data:

SEEDZ clarifies that it will not disclose data that may reveal SEEDZ’s trade, strategy or business secrets, without this constituting non-compliance with privacy legislation or any other law and/or regulation regarding the rights and duties of data subjects.
The right to elimination/deletion/expunction of data/anonymization will be duly observed when applicable, without prejudice to SEEDZ’s rights, SEEDZ reserving the right to retain identified User data only in legally permitted cases, subject to the statute-of-limitations periods under applicable law.
The use of remote support channels made available by SEEDZ – phone, chatbots, e-mail, apps – authorizes SEEDZ to access personal data to unequivocally identify the User and resolve the requests submitted through them.

9. Data sharing
As a technology company, SEEDZ operates in partnership with a number of other companies in order to offer its services and products. Accordingly, SEEDZ may share your personal data with these companies, public or private, always in accordance with the legal bases set out in articles 7 and 11 of the LGPD and the principles contained therein, seeking to preserve your privacy as much as possible and, whenever possible, in anonymized form. Situations in which SEEDZ shares personal data are described below:
Seedz Partners. SEEDZ receives and shares personal data with Seedz Partners for the execution of the Seedz Program, subject to their own activities and legal limitations, allowing you to accrue and redeem Coins in your Platform account. SEEDZ may also share your data with Accrual Partners, those that award you Seedz Coins, so that these Accrual Partners can communicate directly with you, subject to the legal bases and other provisions of the LGPD. In this case, you may exercise all your rights as a data subject directly with the Accrual Partner.
Other rural producer Users: SEEDZ may share anonymized and aggregated data with other rural producer Users for the purpose of comparing performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
Suppliers. SEEDZ has a number of suppliers it needs to engage to operate its services, and some of them may process personal data collected by SEEDZ, such as, for example, companies that provide data hosting, authentication and registration validation services, advertising companies, financial institutions, among others. To the extent possible, SEEDZ carefully evaluates its suppliers and enters into contractual information-security and personal-data-protection obligations with them, with the aim of minimizing risks to you.
Data companies. Some of SEEDZ’s suppliers and business partners are data companies, popularly known as bureaus, with which we may share personal data for a few important purposes, which are explained in this document, such as validating a given profile to prevent fraud.
Credit protection entities. SEEDZ may share your national ID (CPF) number with entities dedicated to reducing credit risk and protecting companies and individuals against fraud, in order to validate the information you provided.
Public Authorities. SEEDZ must comply with the law. Accordingly, if a judge or an authority with legal competence requires Seedz to share certain personal data for, for example, an investigation, we will share it. We are against any abuse of authority, and if Seedz understands that a given order is abusive, we will always defend the privacy of data subjects.
With your authorization: In other cases not provided for above and that have no legal basis other than consent, where there is an intent to share personal data and information, we will send you a notification with information about such sharing to request your consent for that specific purpose.
In addition, SEEDZ reserves the right to share any personal data necessary to comply with legal obligations, court orders, or determinations by competent national authorities, as well as to respond to requests from public or government bodies, in accordance with applicable law, to enforce or apply the Terms of Use, Seedz Campaign Regulations, or, still, to protect SEEDZ’s rights and property, prevent fraud or other illegal activities against SEEDZ or the security of SEEDZ, its employees and customers.
SEEDZ cares about the security and privacy of your data and uses secure technological and procedural solutions, continuously improving to protect the personal data it processes.
Personal data processed by SEEDZ is stored in a restricted database with access limited to authorized employees whose duties require access and use under the terms of this Privacy Policy or for security purposes, all of whom are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality of the information and not to misuse it.
Our database is equipped with access-authentication mechanisms for records, allowing detailed logging of such access. This makes it possible to later verify the time, duration, file and identity of the authorized employee who accessed the records.
Although this mechanism helps ensure the inviolability of the data collected, it is important that the User follow basic security procedures on their mobile phone and/or computer, such as using tools like antivirus software, and not providing or disclosing their password to any third party.
Although Seedz is headquartered in Brazil and the personal data we collect is governed by Brazilian law, your personal data may be transferred to the United States of America. This transfer occurs because certain suppliers and business partners of Seedz and Seedz Partners provide their services or have their servers located in that country, as well as for Seedz’s storage of personal data in cloud or data centers, following the security, encryption and confidentiality standards established by national and international data-protection rules.
These transfers involve only companies that demonstrate a level of compliance similar to or stricter than that provided for under Brazilian law, and Seedz complies with all applicable legal requirements and provides an adequate level of data protection regardless of the destination of the data transfer.
10. Cookies
“Cookies” are pieces of text information that a site transfers to the hard drive of an individual or to another site/browser, for record-keeping purposes. Cookies allow the Platform to remember important information, making the use of the website more convenient. A cookie generally contains the name of the domain the cookie came from, the cookie’s “lifespan”, and a randomly generated unique number or other value.
Seedz uses cookies for various purposes: to improve your online experience, for analytics, and for marketing actions. Among the purposes for which cookies may be used on the website are:
Analytics: we may use cookies to analyze user activities and to improve the Platform. This analysis may be used to more precisely determine how to improve the Platform’s functionality and user experience;
Your preferences: we may use cookies to store certain preferences of the Platform user. For example, we may store searches you recently performed in a cookie so that these searches can be easily repeated when you return to the Platform;
Marketing: we may use cookies from third-party partners, such as Google, for marketing purposes. These cookies allow us to display promotional materials for the Platform on other sites you visit on the Internet;
Referral tracking: we may use cookies to associate user activities with the external site that referred them to the Platform. These third-party partner sites may receive credit for the activity of users they refer to the Platform. We do not share personal information or information about users’ activities individually with these partner entities.
When we use cookies to track the total number of visitors to the Platform, this count is performed anonymously (cookies do not store personal information and/or data). We may also use cookies to remember your computer when it is used to return to the Platform, which helps personalize your experience using the Platform. In this case, we may associate personal information with a cookie file.
The main internet browsers allow you to manage the use of cookies on your device. With this feature enabled, you can use all the personalized browsing features offered by Seedz. If you do not agree with the use of cookies, you can disable this feature by configuring your browser to refuse cookies. In such cases, the Platform may not operate correctly, or content may take too long to load.
To remove cookies or cache, follow the procedures indicated by the manufacturers* for each browser**:
Google Chrome: (Click on settings, look for the “Clear browsing data” option, check the “Cookies and other site data” option and click “Clear data”);
Firefox: (In settings, click “Options”, then click “Privacy & Security” and look for the “Cookies and Site Data” option, then click “Clear Data”);
Safari: (In the top bar, click Safari and then Preferences. Go to the Privacy tab, look for the “Cookies and website data” option, choose whether you want to keep always allowing cookie storage; click Manage Website Data to choose which cookies to delete; if you want to clear all cookies, click Remove All).
* Notice: The instructions above are provided by the manufacturers’ own official sites. Seedz is not responsible for damages or loss of information resulting from the use of these procedures.
** This procedure may need to be repeated every time the device is replaced, reinstalled, or has its settings reset to the original default.
11. Retention period
SEEDZ has a personal-data retention and disposal policy aligned with the General Data Protection Law and other applicable regulations, taking into account the time needed for SEEDZ to provide its services and to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to: (i) fulfill the purposes for which it was collected; (ii) comply with legal, regulatory, contractual or other obligations; or (iii) safeguard SEEDZ’s rights.
If you have registered an account with SEEDZ, your account data and information will be kept for as long as you keep that account active. When applicable, you may request that SEEDZ delete your data or your account, and SEEDZ will have a period of 60 (sixty) days from your request to complete the requested deletion.
However, in order to comply with certain legal or regulatory obligations, or to exercise rights in any administrative or judicial proceeding, SEEDZ will retain your data and information based on the legal grounds permitted by law and subject to the applicable statute-of-limitations periods.
12. Links available on the Platform
SEEDZ may provide links on the Platform that direct you to other sites on the internet. When you click on certain links, you may leave SEEDZ’s domains.
SEEDZ guarantees the authenticity of its content and the security of its use only through access via its official channels, and is not responsible for external links that direct to SEEDZ’s domain. If you see any reference to SEEDZ outside its domain, visit www.seedz.ag and make sure the content you saw is original and authentic.
Notice: SEEDZ is not responsible for the privacy policies of any other sites, and does not recognize or validate the way they handle personal data. SEEDZ recommends that you read the respective privacy policies of the sites you visit.
13. Protection of personal data
SEEDZ is responsible for taking care of your personal data and using it only for the purposes described in this Policy. To ensure your privacy and the protection of your personal data, SEEDZ adopts security practices appropriate to its market, such as the use of encryption techniques and other information-security systems.
All technical and awareness measures are implemented by SEEDZ to keep your data secure, in order to prevent loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized access and improper appropriation of data belonging to all Users in general.
Browsing SEEDZ’s websites over the open internet may carry risk, since it is not possible to completely eliminate the risk of unauthorized access. It is therefore up to the User to take secure measures when browsing.
Unauthorized entry or use by third parties in your Account, hardware or software failure outside SEEDZ’s control and/or influence, and other factors may compromise the security of your personal data. Your role is therefore essential to maintaining a secure environment for everyone. You can do your part by adopting good security practices regarding your Account and your data (for example, not sharing your login and password with third parties, as they are personal and non-transferable credentials, and never using the same password on different sites, following security tips), and if you identify or become aware of anything that compromises the security of your data, immediately contact SEEDZ’s Data Protection Officer, who is responsible for the data-subject support channel through this link, or by e-mail at lgpd@seedz.ag.
14. Security Tips
Your personal data is valuable, and SEEDZ adopts a strict Security Policy to protect it. It is important that you also take good care of it and follow, at a minimum, the following recommendations:
Public computers: be careful when using public computers or computers belonging to strangers. They may contain viruses and programs that compromise your security, such as software that collects confidential information.
Fake pages: fraudsters may copy pages simulating the Platform. Pay attention to unusual URLs or redirect links. Always access our page by typing “www.seedz.ag” into your browser. Check that the site is on secure pages during redemptions (that is, make sure the security padlock and the secure HTTPS protocol are active, and that there is a valid digital certificate).
Fake promotions: be careful with calls that request or ask for confirmation of your personal data.
Sending e-mails: Seedz does not request personal data, access passwords, or restricted participant information by e-mail. Be suspicious of any message that asks you to confirm your personal information or that sends you data requesting a registration update. Do not click on links in suspicious e-mails: make sure the address in the URL belongs to Seedz or a Seedz Partner.
Access passwords: never disclose or provide your password to third parties under any circumstances. SEEDZ may request a temporary password for redemption (called Second Factor of Authentication) for certain types of transactions. This password may be sent by SMS, recorded voice message, or through the mobile app to a phone number registered on our Platform.
15. Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy is valid for an indefinite period, but may undergo periodic updates in order to reflect the evolution of SEEDZ’s privacy practices and of Brazilian legislation on the protection of personal data. SEEDZ therefore recommends that you visit this page regularly, without prejudice to SEEDZ notifying you should any relevant changes occur.
